Black Salsify Adventures


I found these roots in the grocery and the idea was born.


"Black Salsify with Mushrooms, Leek and Quinoa"

After searching the web for cooking instructions, I thought, I was prepared.
I took a big bowl, filled it with cold water, added vinegar and ...


... a spoonful of flour.


I whisked it. 


The preparations were done.




I cleaned the roots and ...



... excoriated them.


too much? 






I cooked the black salsify with spinach and the result was ...


... not so tasty.




It's time for plan B.







Plan B works.
